    «AKADEMIK IOFFE»

    "Akademik Ioffe" and "Akademik Sergey Vavilov" are built on a joint project. Both vessels in the central part have a vertical shaft that opens onto the main deck into a special room. Having lowered by means of a winch through a shaft the receiver or a radiator, one vessel can radiate, and another can receive acoustic signals. Vessels are used for experiments on the long-range propagation of sound in the ocean.
